Any wireless computer guy here?

My computer setup has some problem with the wireless router. It once every so often will lose connections and costing me missing characters and sometimes even the whole message not being posted in the forum.

Anyone has any clues and fix for it? Does it look like someone is hacking my wireless or my computer itself is infected......?

it sounds like possibly a signal issue or a router problem itsself. How far are you from the router when using it? Also have you tried to update the firmware on the router to see if that improves anything? If you want when your free i'll swing by and take a look at it for ya

It could be interference from a phone or some other device. Try changing your router from the default channel to another channel.

one other thing is change the batteries, if you are using a wireless keyboard/mouse.

I would also ask did you set up any security on the wireless router when you installed it. Was SSID Broadcasting disabled? WEP or WPA encoding? Did you recently upgrage your antivirus and firewall software?

SSID broadcast disabled
Other parameters have to recheck.

If all security is up you either have dead spots, low batteries or a bad router.
