can somebody check VIN on autocheck for me?

As title says, I want to check a vehicle on autocheck so I thought that maybe somebody has an unlimited history reports and can do a check for me, for a frag or fee? I have carfax report but want to make sure what autocheck says. Please post here and I'll PM you. Thanks a lot

I don't trust any of those reports, best thing to do is take the car to a trusted mechanic and have them go over the car. I had a 93 mustang 5.0 back in 1997 the car got totaled and the insurance company gave me the money for the car said it was unrepairable. Needless to say I did a car fax on it in 2002 just to see how accurate car fax was. It came back as the car had a clean title and history, showed me on there as a previous owner and everything. Even showed the car registered in PA at the time.

+1...those reports only show info that was reported to them, not to mention mistakes & misinformation. Have the car checked by a mechanic/body shop

every one I have seen showed the first name and last initial and the town and state where registered. I remember the name part because I was looking at my name on the Mustang car fax lol. And I bought a used Vette recently and the person had a car fax and sure enough his name and the first owners name was on there.

Just took a look at a report I saved a while back on my car, I see no previous owner name on my 2nd hand car.
This is pretty much all it says

To the best of my knowledge, there is no Carfax 'unlimited' access...dealers pay about $10 for each serial # entered

There used to be an unlimited plan for running by VIN, the current "unlimited" is strange that it only allows unlimited by license plate, but the owner can use the same plates on a previous car as he upgraded, so you're seeing the history of the owner and not the car itself.

Yep, carfax is turning int mor and more of a money making joke by the year.

I also never trusted it either due to people keeping their accidents out of insurance and paying for it with cash

I worked in a car dealership many years ago.
The LI news came into our dealership to do a story or day.
Here is the jist of it:
Person bought a car from my dealership after we did a carfax on car and found a clean history. Police showed up one day and told owner that car had been stolen (or had stolen parts in it...i can not recall any longer). Car was confiscated by police and never returned to the person who bought it from us. My dealership ended up doing something for our customer bc owner didn't want bad press, even though we did nothing wrong.

Those sites are not all they claim to be....many was to get around reporting stuff.
