Would anyone be willing to keep her for about 1 year until this family gets back on their feet, and able to find a place where they can keep her?

Good luck, just signed on and saw this. Hardest type of dog to find a home in the USA sadly. Poor breed has suffered so much due to our society and media! Pulling for the dog to find a home or foster!
