I went to the 9-11 Memorial with a bunch of guys from work today. It is really a beautiful site to visit. There were a lot of people there. Then on the way out we were lucky enough to be able to go up in 1 World Trade Center. Have to say it is an amazing build of engineering. Being on the 103rd floor and being able to basically look straight down is awesome.....

here is a short video from the 103rd floor. I have some pics that I took, I need to get them up on photobucket...

I lost a very sweet and dear friend of mine on 9/11 and I still can't pull myself to go down to the site ....... Somehow this wound won't heal for me.
Great video , and people need to stop treating it like Disney land and leaving crap everywhere!

Been down there to the site once since the recovery effort ended. Went on first responders day. Had to go couldnt say no to the guys in my firehouse. Will not be back again most likely.

It's crazy that so many people can't find it in their heart to step foot on such a life changing part of our city , I may make the trip someday But it will be among the hardest things I will ever do in my life

It was definitely an eye opening experience, to see where the 2 largest buildings in the country "used" to stand. Very similar to when I went the Law Enforcement Monument in Washington DC.

From where I work I am able to see the skyline every day, and I will truly never forget every day I goto work.

I will get some photos of the memorial up in a little while..

Thanks for the pictures. From someone who will probably never go themselves it is nice to see how it looks somewhat.

I saw enough of it on that day and in the days that followed while we were doing the digging for remains.

That part of Manhattan I used to love, I now harbor nothing but ill feelings towards it. It makes me hate certain groups of people when I see it, I will never trust them ever again but I don't want to hate them, so I don't choose to go. I don't want to hate anyone but that address, box 8087 has that effect on all the guys that were there that day and the days following.

Much respect to you and all the men and women that were on site that tragic day and the days that followed in the recovery efforts. I went a few days later after a 3-11 tour. Our captain took us over via ferry from jersey city and it was something I will never forget. I get overwhelmed with anger, frustration, and hatred I try not too but it hasn't worked out so well

I wish I could remember the school trips, that I was never eager to go on, Or the walks in and about the area. However ,the only thing i can remember when someone mentions this place is the events of that day, or the year of working there after the event. I don't go there anymore, not by choice, but like they say it's "History" now.

Nice videos of the place.
