I can imagine your mortgage is going to expire unless they close.
In this case, have your lawyer tell them you will reduce your offer by the amount of the fees unless they agree to close soon.
This can make them realize one of two options;
Come to an agreement over how it will be paid, or, they can take the original offer and put the amount of the fees in escrow until they make up their minds.
Either way, tell the dad to reach down and grab two, and step up or you will walk. If they cannot decide on this now, then they will have the same conflict with the next person.
