Meaning a gift from my retirement to Mom, I withdrew my 457 money (city's 401 on steroids) to finally buy my Mom a gift I'd been wanting to to pay her a little tribute for all the years. We have a trailer in a gated camping community.
The place is called Trails End and is in Shahola PA. It's basically camping with amenities.
Anyway I put $5,000 down today to order it. She chose everything from the color of the outside and type of roof to the counter tops and furniture as well as floor color. She went with a Gray outside with white trim and deep blue metal roof. The countertops she upgraded to coriander from the laminate tops, the couch she upgraded to an L shaped sectional with 2 recliners and a pull out bed.
All in all came to $58,000 installed and will be here in 7 weeks. Glad I was able to finally buy Mom a substantial gift that was needed- the trailer we have now is OLD and was really starting to fall apart and need extensive repairs. Glad that group of worries is off of her.
Here's the model we looked at, only thing that you can see in the pics that will be different than pictured will be the color of the siding, ours will have blue shutters that match the roof and different countertops and the rest you can't see what we changed due to the limited photos on the posting of the dealer:
This is the 2012 model, ours is going to be a 2013 and will be built to our specs in Indiana

I'm pretty psyched to see the trailer when it arrives and seeing the smile on Mom's face today has been great because each of the little and big things that have bothered her for years with it she's like ehh, in 7 weeks it'll be gone....LOL GO MOM!!!
