Water filter for drinking water

I know this has nothing to do with aquariums, but the knowledge base at Manhattanreefs.com is remarkable, and I felt no one could better answer my question than the intelligent people here. So here goes:

I have a water filter in the fridge but they are expensive and need replacing every few months. So I thought I'd put a canister filter in between the water source and the fridge filter.

My question is: which filter should I use? On thefilterguys.com they show 5 different carbon filters to choose from. What do you suggest?
