Awesome new beginning! That was quick too. Wish they always went that well & that quick. I know its not cool that the dog was living in a car with her original owner and i dont know what the circumstances that led them to that point but sounds like she came from a loving owner. God forbid it were me, I'd hate giving up my melon-headed nutjob of a couch potato.

Yeah the owners loved her, had her since she was 8 weeks. When they moved the landlord then threw the NO on them. I think that why she was in their car. They ddi the right thing and gave her up to find her a new home where someone could love her AND have her with no landlord issues.

Yep unfortunately too many get destroyed because it's hard to place them quickly. I'm glad she wasn't one of the "it's a shame" cases and will live a great life with great owners.(plus I get to hang with her on the trip back to the east coast)

american bulldogs are near and dear to my heart, i try to help them whenever i can bc rocky(the american i lost to cancer last year) was always there for me through the good times and bad, at times he was the only thing i had to keep me sane.. and in the end he still saved my the heartache of having to make the choice to put him down... loyal to the end. so when i see a bully in need i will do what i need to do to help so this was me paying it forward for everything he did for me.

RIP bud, this was for you!

Soon enough Mikey- we will all meet our lost and missed buddies:

RainbowBridge.com

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
