You're better off talking to a professional about what to do with it since even at that amount, the interest a bank will give you is nothing compared to what it could be making in the right place. It depends on your goals as far as what will work best.

I have to agree there is much better ways to make money work for you. Banks pay nothing for interest. One of the safest things right now is real estate..the best time to buy mortgage rates are at an all time low. Any property is only going to increase in value. Worst case scenario you can always hit the roulette table and put it all on black! LOL Seriously though definitely look into a professional and check out what your options are. Believe it or not sometimes people just want answers. Not advice. It's pretty much common knowledge that 1% per annum is a paltry payout and you'll do loads better by increasing risk but there ARE people out there who want zero risk and don't need better than 1%.

The FEDs is going to keep this low interest rate for a long time because the economy isn't improving.

thanks for the advise guys, i would have gone to an investment company but i need the money to stay liquid as im going to use it within a 4 month time period. i miss the days when i was able to get over 3% for my money. Those times seem long gone along with 1.50 per gallon gas.

Apple? That stock is not going anywhere fast and there is much better options out there than apple. Pre ipod was the time to buy apple..kind of like how pre internet craze was the time to buy google lol
