I currently don't have any reptiles.

I've been doing some research on them, and wanted to find out peoples opinion of them as a first reptile pet.
What types of Morphs. are available, and if anyone is currently breeding them and has ay for sale.
-What setup is required (tank 20g then 40g) w/ cover
-Lights (UVB / heat / night time light)
-some kind of substrate
-water dish
-basking log

They are a great first reptile. Lots of personality a 20 long is good for start but a 40 breeder is a good home for a single adult. Heater pad amd lighting is needed too. After a while they will eat vegetables and crickets. Calcium supplements are needed too. They love to be handled but can be quick so be careful. My friends used to sit on his shoulder.

the bearded dragon is one of the if the not best reptile to own. they will not run and become attached to there handler. they do need supplemental lighting to keep them healthy and a mix of veggies and live crickets soaked in calcium is perfect. you will not be disappointed in the beardy. get a dragon as a youngster like3 to 6 months old. i try to stay clear of very young dragons

Beardeds are great between personality and the different color morphs.

Another one you may want to consider is a Uromastyx. They're my personal favorite because they aren't big on crickets and are mostly vegetarians. They all look like they should be named Bubba ...just my opinion. For me it was easier because most of what they eat are things that I always have in the house anyway. There are pellets tho that you can get for a bearded to eat but I don't put too much faith into how healthy they are for a pet.

Depending on what you're into and how much free time you have, it can become a drag to run out for crickets all the time and if you buy crickets in bulk to save money, crickets can stink up the place unless you have a place to put them that doesn't bother you.

I've had my beardy over 10 years... He's the best, the only problem I have is whenever I walk in the room he tilts his head and looks at me like I'm some kind of a$$H0L? lol....Jk I like putting mine on the bed when my fianc? is sleeping and wake her up very slowly lolllll I guess that's why the beardy looks at me like that loll
