What are the minimum system requirements for Guild Wars 2?
Our goal with Guild Wars 2 is to have it run on a wide range of Windows gaming PCs.

Windows? XP Service Pack 2 or better ? Intel? Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz, Core i3, AMD Athlon 64 X2, or better ? 2 GB RAM ? NVIDIA? GeForce? 7800, ATI X1800, Intel HD 3000, or better (256MB of video RAM and shader model 3.0 or better) ? 25 GB available HDD space ? Broadband Internet connection ? Keyboard and mouse

Note: Due to potential changes, system requirements may change over time and you may be required to upgrade your current system (or obtain a new system) to continue to play the game.

I'm actually worried about getting hooked again:sick: Chief, you know how it is when working nights. On my nights off and mornings home alone I would have marathon runs.

I wasn't into the GW2 pvp combat. I lasted 10 minutes on beta. It was way to slow for me.

How is there no sprint? Lol.

I guess im spoiled. After ultima online, the only game remotely close for me has been age of conan. The people running the game suck and really only care about PVE but the truth is that its the best combat system ever implemented into a game and somehow still has a great veteran player base. Plus I don't like running around as a monster. I prefer human based class games.

:wow: UO! Now that was a game... it has been so long, I'm can't remember if I made Dread Lord... that game was NOT forgiving at all. Sitting here now I feel so bad griefing noobs and leaving them with nothing but their skivvies... but it was so much fun then

I played uo from like 11-21 lol.

The game was a masterpiece. Someone actually runs an emulated version of the game that holds true to the general idea of the original game. It just isn't fun without my buddies lol

Yea, I've set up emulators for Dark Ages of Camelot and WoW... just not the same without the "MM" in MMORPG. But great for nostalgic moments :)

It's all about the carebears now :grumpy:

UoGamers is the server, this emulated server actually has around 1,000 people on it daily. Amazing how it still survives lol.. I played it for a while but once you get use to modern mmo it seems too slow and painful for me to play lol.

I had some great times on UO. Such a well made game and way beyond its time. Its a shame they followed in the wrong footsteps of other games.

The new games make everything to do with PVP way to easy, With forever grind.

Once WoW came out, it destroyed everything lol...it added gear and key smashing into pvp.

AoC is actually an amazing game, just poor devs. If the grind wasn't FOREVER it would have been the top MMO of all time.

Yes, emuServers is good for smirks and giggles, but anything beyond 15-20mins is going to be annoying -- at least to me. I'm still floored how people play Minecraft, 8 bit graphics, for serious?

Everquest was a massive treadmill... then the games started to cater to casual players too much. Ran 40 person WoW raids and was burnt out. Never played AoC, must've been running in parallel to another flavor of crack I was on. :lol2:

2 days... and we'll be fiendly for the Godly Plate of Whales armor

Hate the interface, controls suck. Click to walk was what drew me to the original game. So pretty much paid 80 for a game that I can't stand. Anyone else get the game yet?

Chief i was mad at a few things like you were with the controls and was about to quit playing. I gave up and tried to enjoy the game. The game got 1000% better once i stopped letting it bother me and just did what i wanted when I played.

Anyways, I got it due to boredom, wasn't planning on playing a big MMO. I don't have a problem with the controls, got used to it although the lack of click to walk or move in to attack sucks. The thing that really bothers me is that all the classes feel extremely underpowered. I understand the damage scaling for large scale PVP and the skill balancing but its a little bleh when you want to kill someone and they end up running away because of the healing/dodges.

Been playing WvW a lot, some PVP and PVE when im waiting to get into WvW or want a few levels. Its stupidly easy to level up, I got like 3 levels in an hour doing WvW when my server was taking a bunch of control points last night on the reset. WvW for me is a bunch of fun if your on the right server.

All in all the game is great and blows away anything else out there.
