Thinking of buying a karaoke machine but there is just waaay too much info out there...for instance:

DVD / DVD+R / DVD-RW / DIVX (MPEG4) / CD+G / VCD / SVCD / HDCD / CD / CDR / CDRW / MP3 / JPEG / AVI / MPEG.

do i really need all those formats? lol
I'm looking to buy a decent player which plugs into a TV cuase I dont have a sound sytem or anything....I dont want those corny all-complete sets, just a player in the $250 and under range. thx.

Any site recommendations are good, too. Us Asians love karaoke :tongue1:.

The sources of the your songs will determine your choice of player.

If you have computer and your source of songs are CD+G, Mpeg files, karaoke DVDs from the stores, you may also consider a software solution. It plays directly from DVD, VCD, and files that you put in the computer. A 250G hard hard drive will hold like 2000 songs. The lit version is some what $350. You can come to my club to see how the pro version works.
