Normally, I place PETA in the same category as belly button lint, but in this instance I have to agree with them. It's cruel to keep such large animals in a such a confined space. If they were housed in more appropriate environs it wouldn't be so bad, but their current "home" is just ridiculous.

Now that my dog :dog: heard about this...he's demanding his 2nd amendment rights to carry a gun!

My neighbor's cats read the thread too and asking for freedom of expression andalready trying to remove all the flea collars.

It's much more appropriate for them to sue for animal cruelty rather than slavery.

I don't want a civil war because of Orcas.

Wait a minute...

The orcas were rescued from the wild, they are provided food, shelter, and medical care, and they perform shows for visitors.

I work 60+ hours a week, make enough for food and shelter, but dropped my healthcare when I quit my job to strike out on my own.

The way I see it, I'm more of a slave than the orcas... who can I sue?

What's stopping them from playing this scenario on the whale sharks in Georgia, or other large animals in captivity, such as elephants. I'm sure these people don't care about the Orcas, there is a larger scheme at play here.

There are animals better left in the ocean.
We recognize them as garden eels, basket stars or gonipora. The point being the quality of life is so different that it is more certain death than a manageable existence.
With any large sea creature people feel the same way.
Penning orcas, dolphins or whale sharks for the amusement of people is a cruel and unjust way to treat them.
Whats stopping them? I hope nothing.
There are much better ways of seeing these creatures the way nature intends.

I understand your point, however, is this not true about all creatures of nature?

ok there are how many fishtanks in this world that do the same thing let them sue everyone for that.they target seaworld because they have money...you need to reaqlize if it wasnt for aquariums that show these animals there wouldnt be money generated to protect them.if we just saw the orca in the wild no one would give money to protect them.we go to the aquariums and see how cute they are and for other animals how cuddlly they are.the benefits for having them so the public can witness it for temselves greatly outweighs the negative which is only they arre in a smaller enviroment then there oceans.they are feed ,looked after by marine biologist and are given medicines.they have people looking after them 24 hours a day.millions a year are given to protect them in the wild because of places like sea world ad government puts bills in to protect them in the wild because of the revenue that bis generated because of aquariums and zoos.peta just wants to create controversy so they will be recognized and they pull these dumb stunts once a year so no one will consider them a joke which they are
