Booth tank from "Tanked" for sale

First off let me say this is NOT my tank and this is NOT a for sale post.

I was looking on ebay as I usually do on my lunch break and came across this:

I was just shocked that it was even for sale, it doesn't include any fish, I wonder if it was because of bad acclimation and all the fish died? Either way looks like the owners put it on ebay, says the buyer will get a 500 dollar credit towards new fish at some Vegas shop, pretty interesting.

That shop in vegas is the one selling the tank if you notice their ebay name. It also could be a reproduction. Why not make more of the tanks they make on the show and sell them to people? People always want stuff they see on tv look how much crap we as consumers buy from tv strictly because its on tv. Do you think anyone would own a shake weight or half the other crap on commercials you see at 4am or otherwise? Possibly but I'm sure not anywhere near the same amount that did because of tv. Even if it's not a repro someone will buy it just because it was on the show eventhough we as hobbyists know it isn't a very practical tank or is it that spectacular. I can think of much better things to do w/ 7 grand.

It states in the wording that it is 'the' tank from the show and the owners are selling it due to financial & personal reasons.


It is useless as a reef tank and they overstocked it to dead with inappropriately mixed fish, but someone will buy it anyway. I feel for the fish if someone sets it up as a tank again...

A lot of people state a lot of things especially on ebay it doesn't necessarily make it true..go type in gucci see how many honest people there are selling "Authentic" stuff. lol I'm not saying it's 100% not the tank I'm just saying it's possible they could have made more and why not? I would if I was them. People see that on tv and think it's cool which makes them want to pay lots of money for it.

I guess hanging upside down while someone holds your feet to vacuum 20 dead blue fish and 20 dead red fish.... off the bottom just isn't as fun as it seemed like it was gonna be...

From the looks of the situation here it seems like ATM lost the account and this other company picked it up and maybe convinced them to go with a more realistic tank. Of course they can't sell it on ebay and say nothing would live in this crappy tank so they say it was for financial reasons. Just an idea.

I don't think ATM does aquarium maintenance past the build process, I could be wrong. I definitely agree that maybe the owner or the maintenance guys took a real hard look at it and thought what the hell were we thinking?

They do maintenance, that's where most companies make the majority of their money.

Thay interviewed bratt from tanked and thay dont do aquarium maintenance , Its up to the buyer to get maintenance for the tank he said.

ATM is a crap show if you ask me, yea they do some cool builds. But they just throw all the fish in with no cycle at all and say here you go now pay us. They give the customer no knowledge as well.

Well according to an interview I saw with Bret from tanked on mr saltwater tank they say they use "seeded bio balls"

Some of their tanks are not even viable, like the phone booth tank.
It's a train wreck and not even that entertaining.
How about a show that builds real tanks and actually tells a story instead of some Vegas D bags building acrylic garbage into death zones for fish.

I'm aware of what was said but the truth is they do maintenance. I'm assuming they don't want to get constant phone calls about it so they said they don't. They might hand off the smaller systems but there's no way they would pass on thousands a month of income from the larger jobs.
