Buy a few of those $12 battery powered bubblers. If you're serious, get the Vortec battery backup power. The bubblers and that MP backup battery, you will be fine.

Remember frozen RODI water for temp control.

Get a inverter for your car,,,plugs right into lighter u can run powerheads then

refridge is 400 watts.i use the 14w florescent bulbs x 6.my tank uses around 500 watts.tv is 200 watts and radio is 100 watts so im good to go.tank of gas will run 9 hours if 2200w are used so im perfect baby unless the tree falls on the generator.

Got my propane 5500 watt gen,lasts a bit longer than the gas and a bit quieter....

Man, I was SOL on a gen too, people were laughing at me Friday evening as I went from store to store looking. I have it on my list for next year, right now it's probably like trying to buy a snowblower in February, anyone that gets them in is going to be charging way more than they should. Heck yesterday a mason guy helped me with some sand bags and some gutter extension supports, 10 sand bags and 2 2x4's=125.00! WTF! And HE was telling me all
About how the yard guy was ripping everyone of for sand charging 2x the amount by the yard or bag and making customers bag it themselves. Nice guy, but dude, I think he charged me $50 for 2 g.damn 2x4's! I was ticked off to say the least.
