Today is probably one of the hardest days of my life. At 11:30 AM I had to put my 11 year old golden retriever Rocky to sleep. He wasn't just a dog, he was like a kid to me and a best friend and he will be missed. He suffered from internal organ failure and a infection that overran his body. RIP Rocky

If anyone knows a breeder for a golden or knows anyone giving away puppies please let me know. I don't think I will be able to continue without having a dog by my side to remind me of Rocky and that companionship.

Thanks Dom and everyone, maybe I'll stop by some day soon for a few fish to cheer me up.

Definitely can say that again this year I have been getting **** on left and right. Hopefully things improve though.

Sorry for your loss. I have been through this before 2x with an old and a young dog. Its so painful its tough to talk about. He's in a better place, I promise.


We now have a French Mastiff, Italian Mastiff and German Shepherd. It took a very long time to find each dog. If you want a fantastic new companion (not a replacement) I know of a breeder I trust very much in an Italian Mastiff.

I'm crying like a damn kid who found out Santa Claus isn't real. This is unreal I'm going between crying and wanting to throw something I'm so angry. All I want is my dog back and my best friend.

Then there are the what-ifs. What if I had exercised him more, or spent more time with him or anything to prevent it. Ugh

Not something you can do. When it came down to it, you did the right thing for him when he was in pain. It's one of the hardest things to do and you did it for him because you loved him. If you think that maybe you did something wrong with him, honor him by not doing the same thing to the next one. In his doggie mind, he didn't hold onto the bad things he was overjoyed every time you walked through the door after a long day of work. Remember those times.
