Electric Clothes Dryer help

HI Guys, I hope someone in the forum (preferably from NJ) can shed light to my problem. My Kenmore Electric Dryer goes on then shuts off after 10-15 minutes. Sometimes it would turn back on but most of the time, it just stays off. I checked and cleaned all the external vents hoping it will rid of the problem but to no avail. I read online about the possibility of lint collecting in the motor also but i do not know how to open the dryer (actually, i am not comfortable with it). If anyone can chime in or help me out, that will be appreciated. Thanks!

It does not have a display screen. It is a Kenmore, Model # 110.96566200, it is fairly old, but has been very dependable until lately..

From the readings i had, i was thinking the same thing so i checked the vents and they are clean, cause that is one of the main reasons. It seems like i need to check the internal parts for lint build up but i am not comfortable in opening it up cause I really do not know what i am looking for.

Just open it up and dive in. Really all you'll be doing is taking the shell off and looking around.

Well hopefully someone from NJ will see this , cause knowing me, i will make it worse by opening it up myself.

yeah the shell isnt anything to take off and nothing to be hurt by doing so,

Try turning the timer past 15 minutes... :joke:
