Friend in need

A friend of mine was swimming in Atlantic City, and came out of the water freezing and had leg pain. Went back to his hotel room and fell asleep for a hour or so. When he woke up his leg was all red and in terrible pain. He went to the ER, and was released. Now he is home and is still experiencing the same redness and unbarable pain. Has this happened to anyone before or any ideas. We live in a landlock area with no hospitals that have delt with this before. Any input would be helpfull

Your friend needs to seek medical care from a doctor or a hospital.
Advice from a SW fish forum is a poor idea.
