Ciao Atlantis.......god speed

The future is intergalactic travel. The moon will be the 'fueling station' for 'day trips' to Mars and beyond.

I'll miss the shuttle missions....but look forward to whats beyond.

It should still go on with new shuttles. Too bad we don't have the money. If we wasn't at war, we may have the money.
That there is a political discussion sir. IF we weren't at war and they lowered taxes on small businesses, the middle class and raised them on the top 1% then maybe we'd have money to invest in things like rebuilding the US infrastructure, new technologies, and actually going to Mars. But whatever we know what priorities people have and how much they vote against their own self interest.

Noticed they mentioned concentrating on Mars. Why Mars?:D

While they say this is the last "Shuttle Flight" I do not think that Atlantis is the last type of spacecraft.

There will always be new type of space craft. I'm sure that there is already something built. (Sorta like in the movie Armageddon, they had the 2 other space craft).

Remember when the stealth fighter was actually shown to the public, it had been out for a long time.

Just wait and the new breed of space craft will emerge!!!

I did watch the shuttle launch with my kids, and I am still amazed to this day. My older daughter (8) could not understand that the ship was flying at over 15000 miles an hour. Which actually amazes me also!
