Hey guys, I am going to start taking violin lessons starting next month. Just wondering if anyone here plays the violins and can help out with private lessons. Also any recommendations on quality violins in the area?

I really want to learn how read music first. Hey, I know what place your talking about. I havent been there yet, but I saw the shop. I will stop by though. Cant wait to get this started!eitansb said:I play the violin. I just got a new one at a shop in Chinatown in Flushing that I am very happy with. Most of the violin stores that I found were for concert level violins and are priced accordingly. As for lessons, I would inquire in the store -- I took lessons when I lived in California... The name of the shop is Snow Stringed Instruments and the number is 718-353-4450. I think it's on Prince St. but I'm not sure. Good luck. It's a hobby that makes reefkeeping seem cheap.
