Anyone know of any good reliable train shops in the Westchester Putnam Dutches area?

Looking at setting up my HO's from when I was a kid for my kids and looking for some supplies. Also looking to see about some of the N scale trains.

For HO & N scale the best prices (aside from the web), locally you have Trainworld in Brooklyn and Trainland in Lynbrook (LI).
Willis Hobbies in Mineola is an interesting place but they only sell at list price.

Hi Chief
I have several special edition M?rklin Z scale model trains, like the Rheingold set 81331, among other rare steam locomotives and wagons.

Well if it were in Paris (Transmondia in Rue de Douai close to Place Blanche, Place Pigalle, Moulin Rouge, Lyc? Jules Ferry - :tongue1: - good times....) or over here in Portugal, I could recommend some of the shops I use to go (I'll play the Rail Road Engineer in the near future with my son...:tongue1:...now it's meccano time:smash::Blurp:), any way I made a search and here is what I found in NYC or close to it.

Have a look here at M?rklin starter sets and M?rklin USA website and M?rklin.de

at this web site you can find NYC model train stores New York Model Railroad Retailers, have a look here

in Westchester you have WESTCHESTER CENTRAL TRAINS and a map to get there

and here is some more for NYC Model Train shops with websites

I Hope this helps

I found a place in Peekskill

Treat Station 21 S. Division St Peekskill NY 914-788-4242

In case anyone is interested. A great candy store with an O guage setup for display that is awesome! They sell O, G, N, HO and thomas stuff too. Prices were good, almost internet pricing with shipping but with immediate gratification. He dhad just sold his last left switch track so when I asked to buy one he went out to is wholesaler right away and got one for me. That's a way to do business.

Also where is the MR of Train collecting? There has to be a forum like that.

WOW that is awesome. When we do in fact get a house I will be in touch with him because I have my fathers trains from when he was a kid that are O gauge that I want to display. Until then I am working with my HO's.
