I'm in the Queens area almost every other weekend visiting family. When I first got into the hobby, I went to Kissena Aquariums, which is the closest, and later found Fishtown USA, which is super expensive. I found this place by accident and thought might as well check it out.
This is an amazing store with a small selection of fish but all the fish are super healthy. The real show is in the middle of the store: a huge multiple tank frag display. They have tons of frags at by far the best prices I have found. Acros, acans, zoas you name it they have it. Both of the guys who work here are super friendly and will remember you after the first time you are there. They will answer any questions you have for them. The only negatives are that I wish there was a bigger fish selection, but anything you want they can order so this is perfectly fine. I've bought many corals, a maxima clam and a wrasse from this place and they are all doing great. The most that have come off of any coral during a dip is a bristle worm and what I believe to be an amphipod, which is surprisingly good. No flatworms and nudis using coral rx. This is now my go to lfs. Keep up the good work NYRA!
