Test the TDS.. I highly doubt it's going to be the same as RO/DI water, as I'm pretty sure a Britta Filter is just carbon.

The water also goes through the filter pretty quickly.

Will not remove phosphates which depending on how much you top off can really hurt ya.

It's equivalent of dosing phosphate.

Topped off with it for a while...and during that time was having alot of problems with algae.

Started using galloned water instead and havent had a problem since.

I would say its fine, in the TDS is 0, or at least under 5.

Better off buying the ro water by the gallon or not being lazy and taking the rodi unit you have at the house to the apartment! Lol

Tap water out of my faucet reads at about 250 tds. Brita is 200, so its just a carbon filter. RODI waste is in the 320's and my Zerowater pitcher reads 0. Id say only for emergencies use brita, but ive used my zerowater with no issues what so ever. Super slow filter but its 0 tds, and they give you a meter.

been using brita water for over 6 months now. everything in the tank is thriving and no algae bloom. free is better than 89 cents lol
