Adding more flow to BioCube 8G

I'm running a BioCube 8G with -

5-6# LR
2" CC
1 Clown
2 Pajama Cardinals
1 Hammer Coral Frag
Mushrooms
a rock full of Zoas
2 peppermint shrimp (havng babies as I type - YEAH!)
8-10 snails, most of them under the CC

I have been battling off and on with what I believe to be Cyano, from everything I've read (ruddy-brown carpet on the rocks and CC). My water has been textbook for 2+ months. The tank has been up for 3.5 months or so. I know that this is "normal" for a new tank. I've been pulling it out, syphoning it out and scrubbing it off with a toothbrush (recommendation from LFS).

I've read that increasing the flow in the tank can help. Is there a good, small PH I can add to help? Almost everything I've seen at the LFS has been huge in comparison to the little tank.

Can I replace the pump that came with the tank with something more powerful?

You dont have much of a cleaning crew.

Nass snails are great to stir and clean the sand and glass. But you need
more. Get yourself a turbo snail and a Scarlet (Red legged) hermit crab. I
have 1 turbo and 2 Scarlets in my 10 gal nano cube. I was battling green hair
algae and reddish brown algae. These guys cleaned up the whole mess in
one night. They are must for any cleaning crew!
