I've been looking to upgrade my 12gal Nano Cube to something a little bit bigger. I'm torn between the 24gal Aquapod, a plain bare-bones glass aquarium, or the new (well maybe not THAT new) 34gal Red Sea Max Reef Aquarium. I can get it for $799.99 plus 5.5% WI sales tax minus my 33% employee discount--still quite pricey. It looks really nice, but I just gotta ask...is it really worth that much $$?

Is it user-friendly? Any success/horror stories that you'd care to share? If all it's going to do is leave a huge dent in my checkbook, I won't even bother.

...I upgraded a 24gal AP to the RSM in the past month.

In general its a very nice system. ...by the time you take another glass box an outfit with similar equipment off the shelf the price would be round about the same and not look as slick.

The only issue I had with the unit out of the box was a faulty power strip, which red sea replaced promptly.
