retrofits for eclipse 6?

well went to home depot today , and riged something up, got a 27 watt quad fluerescent. still fits under the hood, so great lighting and cant even tell.

how is the color on that bulb and the heat coming off of it?

color is sunlight white, not that yellowish ,but i think ima find some blue light to contrast, there is a new led light on thatfishplace.com that goes behind the tank looks awsome im going there 2marrow ima see how bright and if it sets it off good, but the lighting by itself is nice i really cant complain, its 6500 k , but in research i read 6500 k grows better than say 10, 000 k but not as good looking, if u want more details lemme know, and do u have eclipse six?

No I dont have the Eclipse, but I am thinking of buying three of those lights for my 150 gal. tank. If I am not mistaken they are 27 watts but illuminate 150 watts, correct?

So, In your nonprofessional opinion will it work as 450 watts?
