Lighting?

I've got a 10g nano reef I've been working on for a couple months now.
I'm in the process of upgrading my hood again and purchased a CoraLife 18" 50/50 for 22 bucks.... there was another brand half that price. Cant remember the brand name. I think it was Hagen. Are they all pretty much the same? The CoraLife was more then twice the price as the other 50/50.

Is there a certain brand to stay away from?

I have used lights from those brands with no troubles, at least you are dealing with time-invested companies there and not some new offshoot that hasn't been tested by aquarists over the long haul yet. I'd say just choose your gear relative to your needs and costs. For example, there are lots of 13 w lights out there, but I still use azoo galaxy lights because I like the wall-plug in type of ballast. The hellolights 13 watters work just as well, but I like this type of ballast to keep the heat far away from the tank. And, they show up already wired, I like that part too.
