Matt,
I want to copy your light set up for your 2.5 bow, but instead of an MH, use some PC bulbs. I know you used tubing to make the light stand. What did you make the reflector out of? Got any more pictures of how you made it.
Whatever I do, I have to make it look slick because it will go in my office and my bosses will not appreciate anything that does not fit our office decor.
Plus, I want an open tank. I made a canopy for my tank at home, but that required a lot of work and I'd rather have a light like yours for this set up. Plus I want a bow front and making a canopy for a bow front is tricky. Not too tricky, but I'm lazy.
I'm thinking of a 5 or 7.5 bow front if I can find one, some LR, some frags from my tank, somewhere between 50 and 100 watts of PC lighting, a hang on filter, a power head, a small heater, auto top off with float switch and resevoire under my desk, and once it all settles down, a small twin spot lion fish (AKA fu man chu lion fish).
If anyone has any ideas or advice, I would appreciate it. I'm taking this slow.
In particular, I would like some recommendations on a small but very reliable heater.
