I dropped the brandy glass idea. :(

I still have the glass, and I really should at least turn it into a betta bowl with bamboo and some black sand or something. :)

The 2 gallon is looking good. Still doing a little diatom phase right now, but it's not nearly as bad as I've had in some other tanks. There's a mechanical issue that I'll have to deal with sometime this week or next. Will add that to the thread when I get the chance. Out the door!

Sorry to hear about the brandy glass, maybe post in the freshwater forum when you get the betta in it. :)
Keep us updated on the 2gal I always like the really small nanos, amazing to me what you can do nowadays with such small water volumes and live rock. Never would have kept anything alive long in the past in something small.

Where do you get a glass like that?

I think I might want one....

Wal-Mart. ;)

The 2 gallon is kind of a headache atm. I have the kalk line dosing the tank drilled through the bottom. The kalk is thus in contact with the saltwater, and it precipitates in the line and eventually clogs it. This is fine if I can clean it out, but there's no conceivable way I can do this without tearing the tank apart every few months.

So I'm tearing the whole thing apart, drilling larger holes in the glass, and putting a canister filter underneath drilled through the bottom. One bulkhead in, one bulkhead out. I can then add the kalk directly into the plumbing, and have a much easier go of cleaning it out.

I'll post pics when finished, which should be sometime tommorrow.

:D
