Was it Gonipora that has twelve extensions off the polyps or alveopora (which I thought had 22?) Either way that is a challenging but rewarding coral to fare in a nano reef. I recall seeing a similar red specimen in a 6 gallon once that was deeply colored and doing well with a strict maintenance schedule... Thanks for posting your tank Sammy!

That is an Alveopora. 12 tentacles on the polyp. Goniopora has 24.

Good deal. I also recall something about iodine preferences right? Maybe not necessarily higher levels of iodine, but constant ones around the .06 mark IIRC> a challenging coral for this system over the long haul. Success with it 1-2 yrs from now will remark upon master husbandry skills!
