Hey clowns,
Gonna do a 10g NANO, standard tank. What do you think of this?

10g glass
CPR-Bak Pak skimmer
2x55 PC's 1x10k 1xActinic
1 Aqua-Clear PH201 powerhead(freebie)
1 50 watt heater
10-15 lbs. Fiji
2-3" Sand bed, i like the black sand look.

Live stock-
1 Bi-Color Blenny
1 Chalk Bass
Open to other ides for fish.

Coral wise, i was thinking of doing only softies to avoid the Ca issues of sps/lps's.

What do we think?

I would skip that skimmer, especially on a softie tank. IME softies do just fine, if not better, in underskimmed tanks. A 10 gallon with a CPR would be overskimmed, IMO.

If you do ditch the skimmer, get a second small powerhead. Always good to have two sources of water movement, in case one fails. I would put them at the long ends of the tank, near the surface, pointing at each other.

Other than that it sounds golden. Definitely adequate lighting.

I like your fish choices! Other ideas though... a shrimp/goby pair, a clown goby, an orchid dottyback (they get along with the blenny, not sure about the bass), or my new favorite fish, a Liopropoma basslet. Here is Liopropoma rubre:

Another option is Bodianus bimaculatus, although it would probably have to be the only fish:

Hope this helps!
