My 6 gallon eclipse

i have a csl retrofit 32 watt light fitted into the hood of my eclipse 6.

does anyone know how to wire in a small computer fan to the existing wiring of the light. essentially, i want the fan to come on when the light comes on. i am not an electrician and was a little timid with the retrofit wiring, but am willing to learn!

please help!

I recommend buying the power supply and fan from Radioshack as a kit--they will set you up with the correct wall plug-in powersupply for about $15, and a standard compluter fan with a direct-fit plug for it that works very well. I am about to post a new thread using this type of setup, about $35 total.

thanks for the radio shack pointer, brandon! i actually tried something similar (but on my own) from fry's electronics...the whole wirey mess is still on the shelf! i think someone with some knowledge and experience would be worth the extra $$.

and yes, i really am grateful to all who had a look at my little tank. the hair algae is trying to creep back in, so back to the almost daily water changes. i think i got a little too complacent, as with most things in life.
