Well,,, the Ballast on one of my Nanocubes went tits-up a few days ago,,, just stopped working.
I contacted the manufacturers, JBJ Lighting, by email and they said they would replace any ballast within 6 months of purchase if I had a receipt.
I didn't have a receipt as I bought it off Ebay in December,,, I sent them a copy of the Paypal receipt-email and they were cool with it and they'd send me a new one.
Then I asked if I could buy another new ballast as a backup,,, save my corals from stress if it ever happened again. The guy said he was a hobbyist too and he understood my concerns, so now they're sending me 2 new ballasts free of charge.
I gotta say,, that just impressed the hell outta me.
