Really nice tank. Just wondering how is the temp on your tank with the MH. I am in the process of setting mine up now and I am going to put 175w MH on it with VHO actinics. Just wondering how you keep it cool.

I use a small pc fan in the winter and a bigger stronger pc-type fan in the summer. I have a little eggcrate so the fan is parallel with the surface of the water and blows straight down, I find this to be the most effective at cooling the tank, My temp runs 80-82.

Hi all I just upgraded the actinics from 2 x 28w pc's to 2 x 55w and the tank is looking even better. Here are a few pics. First here is one of the formosa, green star polyps, and some neon pink zoos that unfortunately in the pic aren't even close to how bright they really are in person.

Thanks everyone, and I am very honored Brandon. The 20g is actually no longer *ducks for cover* :) . I actually upgraded to a 40g, but my maintenance is the same but just on a larger scale, I find that the prizm does a good enough job even on my 40g. If I had the money I'd by maybe a euroreef or maybe even make one similar, just because I now have a sump on the 40g, on the 20g if I had the money I'd maybe get a remora pro. I do water changes about every month, but since I do some trading I usually take out a bit and fill with new water every few weeks. I feed the fish daily and dose kalk in the top off and add turbo calcium and baking soda to make up for the rest of the needs of the inhabitants.

Cal3v,

For my money that could be a two hundred gallon tank. I think you have done a fantastic job aquascaping in such a small place. From the photos, it looks like you have hidden most of your hardware, and you have made plenty of room for a variety of animals. Great job. Maybe you could offer the rest of us some tips on how to begin aquascaping in such small tanks.
