Possible to take the rim off a 20 long?

Can I take the rim off a 20 long and then drill it without sacrificing structural integrity?

I really like the dimensions but want the rimless look.

I'm not sure, but I'm going to say no! Glass is prob rough and bc it's so thin I assume you need the rim.

I did it to my 55 sump. But as u know it's a 50/50 chance

Did you eurobrace the 55 gallon?

I've heard the rim can be rough but I can always sand it. But the thinness of the glass is a concern.

My budget is about $100 max for just the tank. I was thinking about the Mr. Aqua 12 long but I like the 20 long dimensions more

Only thing I did was after I put the baffles in and they glue dried I took it off
