Isn't there a specific model for your tank? By the makers themselves?

Otherwise I would try a HOB one.

there are but they will all be HOB/in tank such and most likely over sized. RO BH-50, BH 90, TUNZE 9002, Aquamaxx HOB-1

Unfortunately not for Innovative Marine 8gl nano tank .. IF it was bigger I wouldn't have this problem. Thanks for the info.. Looking into it now

On my dwarf seahorse tank (Ecoxotic 5.1 gallon) I am using the Oceanic biocube skimmer. It is air-stone driven but works ok, and is small.

Very nice, they are awesome little fish. So peaceful!

To keep up with their waste I actually mostly use a Red Sea "Deco Art Nano" HOB filter, which I clean twice a week. And 20% water change every week.

The skimmer works too to remove the reddish crud from dead baby brine shrimp. But I feel most is handled by the HOB.

no need for a skimmer for that small of a tank especially if your going to do dwarf seahorse's. be prepared to have to constantly hatch brine shrimp with the dwarfs

Try gnomeglass. I purchased one for my 12 gallon but have never used it. It's air stone driven and made of hand blown glass. Rally nice to look at and it has great reviews. Weekly water changes work well for my system.
