To skim or not to skim?

I'm adding about a pitcher of water everyday to the tank because of the evap I'm getting from the fan. I'm going to get an ato in the near future, like this weekend. So with that amount of water being added everyday what are your opinions on to skim or not to. (My tank is so much quieter without the skimmer lol) it's an eshopps hob I believe psk100.

I personally had my skimmer on my jbj 28.i had it running for 8 hours a day

I didn't mention that every time I fed the skimmer would start mass producing micro bubbles

One has nothing to do with the other. The water is evaporating not the poop

Figured, hope the change of substrate will help with water parameters. Will put my skimmer back on tonight.
