Solana 34G Skimmer Considerations

Anyone have any thoughts on either of these with the solana?

I've read about the JNS WS-1 working in the first chamber of the Solana with the removal of the plastic overflow (most likely a PIA).

Second, I've read the new hydor slim skim nano works very well, but has to be put into the second chamber of the solana. I'm apprehensive about this due to the fact that it would be second in line in filtration. It seems the typical setup is skimmer first, carbon, etc follows. No?

Any thoughts or considerations are welcome!

I have the tunze 9002 that I modded myself,and i have an upgraded Stevie t collector cup and I think it works awesome!

Is it possible to drill this tank ? I was thinking of purchasing

If your intention is to drill, then I would purchase the newest model of the solana which has no built in filtration. The new tanks are designed to be drilled. They may even drill for you, but not sure.

I also have the Tunze 9002 that I relocated the magnet myself as per the In Tank Media video and I have the In Tank Media Cup on it... Works awesome and easy to adjust!
