hello people
i am new to ManhattanReefs , reason i joined i needed some close people i can trade stuff with , get fish from and spot to relax .. I am member of nano-reef.com
Since my apt is small and i have baby coming in month my expences for hobby are little as my tank .. And let me tell you i am liking it more then freshwater so i will be changing my second "large" tank 29 gall ...but for now lets go with nano ..

stock JBJ 9 watt 50/50

Jager 50 watt heater (temp 78.6-78.4 )
Small powerhead ~ 120gph
Coralife digital temp
AC50 Hob with ac20 impeller (20W light) with chemipure elite ..
DIY ATO system ( waiting for autotopoff.com floats as amazon floats "sucks")

BRS 5stage RO/DI
Instant ocean Reef Crystals

Current stock is 4 snails and Zoanthid frag

Took a while for sand to settle ,, never again with same sand !!

Cycling .. the think in back is piece of vacuum tube which acts as surface skimmer ..

First FTWES

Added 6" Computer fan with 6v/9v/12v power supply ,, currently running on 9v which keeps my temp nice and cool

MY first mess with cables and first ATO container ..

Water testing

Cleaned mess with cables and added new sterile 2 gallon container for fresh water ATO

Some much needed minerals for reefs ...

Welcome to MR. Very cool little setup. You should be able to find a heater that's a bit smaller. As u know water and electricity don't mix. If you havent already, move that plug bar off the floor. High probability that some water will eventually spill out of your makeup water container. Been there done that (as they say).

..
I am currently keeping zoanthid and torch .. for now ... deciding what to put there ..

ATO i had DIY which failed many times .. then i got floats from Autotopoff.com ..no problem + works perfectly

For that mess with cables i did already put plugs 3 ft from floor and left drip on cables ;-)

Now i just need to get more reading about corals

Did you paint inside the filter also? If so what paint did you use? By the way, sweet looking set up. I've said it once and ill say it again, "nano tanks are best"

Thx ..for pump I went with aqua lifter .. as for nano its more then enough .. for heater I couldn't find smaller tho
For paint krylon fusion ..outside and inside .. been using this paint for long time without any problems

Welcome to MR and it seems you're on to a good start.
I'm a member of NR as well.
Just watch out for the torch as that will outgrow your tank quick.
