I got this same set up. mine is all set up and waiting for cycling with liverocks, sand and 2 fish.

Really nicely done and glad your tank and everything came out as nice as it is. very inspiring

Cover

Tank looks great how did you make the cover?

All done using a router. I made a template of the tank using masonite and used that as a router edge guide for cutting the acrylic. Once I had the outer edge cut, I used the fence on a router table to create the inside hole and inner channel to hold the screen.

How often do you water changes & how much do you replace?

Do you sift and clean the sand when doing water changes?

Thanks. 4g water change weekly and I vacuum the sandbed usually. That doesn't mean I don't have any algae issues though...
