I keep my tank within .5 degrees...from 79.8 to 80.3 once in a while I get spikes out of it when weird weather rolls in. But even then we're talking 80.7
I'm about I get my first Red Sea max thi week and wanted to chat a little about what anyone thinks about them. Had a 8 gallon nano cube now a 29 biocube with custom over flow and 6 gallon sump , now on to the sea max
Life reef overflow to a custom sump is what I have done. Be sure to change the hinges on the cabinet if installing a sump as they are not stainless. The overflow grate cover is useless. Get the free pump upgrade from red sea. Good luck.
How is the filtration system on the stick Red Sea max ... Any suggestions on adding things to it to keep it super clean runnin tank. Like chemi pure elite carbon , bio home media filter and live rock in it ?
remove the stock media they give you and put nothing in the chamber below the pumps.
Order a stevie T media basket and use that with chemi pure elite etc.
You wont be able to use the stock skimmer with the basket however. So alternatively you can make your own media rack out of eggcrate.
It's a rats nest back there for sure! But everything is labeled and stuff.
