Micro bubbles?

Why out of the blue am I getting a ton of micro bubbles in the tank? I can't think of anything different that I'm doing.

I have a marineland filter pad containing carbon. I wedge it over the second chamber. Been doing that since the start of the tank. I don't think that would cause the bubbles all of the sudden. Gonna put a new one in and see if that helps.

I'm worried that they'll annoy the clams. Also they seem to stick to my rocks where I have algae. Don't like the look

No, I'm not dosing anything but phytoplankton once in a while.

if the bubbles clinging to the rocks bothers you, u can take a turkey baster to blast them off.

I guess I could, but that would be multiple times a day job. Was hoping that there would be a more permanent solution.

No, I'm not dosing anything but phytoplankton once in a while.

Then stop feeding the fish beans and they will stop farting in the water.:biglaugh:

not exactly a resolution but good knowledge.

i've read that protein skimmers give off some microbubbles so maybe if thats the case, check if theres anything up with urs. also something about the sump needing a baffle or filter sock to stop the bubbling...hope it helps
