drove pass the firehouse yesterday and noticed a piece of steel beam from the trade center with some flowers left on it. brought back the memory of that morning. still feel the pain/anguish/sorrow of that day. a day of remembrance and reflections.
god bless america.
holy cow phil. how big are the worms that they're eating fish?????
they are nasty looking when they get big.
i catch them with a tong at feeding time. there were times that i would get a few at each feeding however many times, once i caught one, others would run and hide. i believe they do learn...
you should be good. bellus belongs to the genus, genicanthus......perhaps one of the "lowest" risk angels to the corals.....i would still watch them around fleshy tissue brain corals though.
if i remember correctly, i had mine 14-16" above the water (from the bulb itself). you don't want any splash on the super hot bulb.....i have seen a bulb exploded when a worker at the lfs accidentally splashed the water on it.
yes taking a break for a while. R&R aquatics broke down the tank @ the beginning of the summer. been traveling and golfing with the family through out the summer.
been spending more time with my new addiction.....golf!
this could get more expensive and more addicting than reefing.
for sure...
it also gets more territorial as it gets bigger. i had to literally fish out the gold stripe maroon....with crushed barbed hook and all. it had drawn blood from my hand several times.....once too many so it had to go. it was about 4-5 " long and 2-3" thick.....built like a linebacker.
as b mentioned, he can get you an estimate value for your wife's suv.
alfie had also helped me with ball park numbers in the past. he was right on the money every time......perhaps he was in cahoots with the dealers i dealt with....hhhmmmmmm:scratchch
the definition of 'fair deal' varies depending on which side of the table you're sitting on.
you want to pay the least amount whereas they want to make the most amount......no matter how good you think your negotiation skills are, theirs usually are better....
for an ordinary joe, one may buy...
imo, flame>coral beauty>lemon peel&bicolor. pair of the same species may have less bickering than two of the different ones.
in my old 75 gal, i had a flame, a coral beauty, and a keyhole living peacefully for a year or so. some chasing every now and then but there were enough caves and nooks...
widdy, do what i did.....lower your water volume to zero.....no more nitrates, phosphate, bleaching, rtn, stn, redbug, flatworm, bristle worm, asterinas, cyano, nada....
broke down my tank several weeks ago.:lol2:
1. 16-20 ppm (pinpoint nitrate monitor)
2. .05-.09 (hanna)
3. 5-6 yrs.(total time....had a major crash 2-3 yrs ago. now no longer running....broke it down a couple of weeks ago)
4. light to moderate cyano depending on the water change schedule(weekly none to light/ 2-3 weeks light/ 3-4 weeks...
