I would frag the tips only and try to salvage something of it. It doesn't look promising just due to the condition of the tips. It doesn't look good. If this happened overnight I wouldn't really consider it RTN. I don't see any tissue flaking. It may be SDR, shutdown responce.

If the clam has been in your reef that long I kind of doubt the PM would start now. Kind of sounds too long for pyramid snails too. Lights need changing?? Is the clam sitting on your sand bed{if you have one}?? You might try sitting it in a clam halfshell or bury a flat piece of rock about...

Crocea's are the most light demanding tridacnid out there. I would not suggest even trying to keep one under anything less than halides. The new book, Giant Clams in the Sea and the Aquarium by James Fatheree is awesome. I just got the book from Barry at Clamsdirect and it is a great read...

mine is about 12-14" off center of a 250w 10k reeflux. It was quite light colored when I got it but it's since darkened to a nice bright blue. It came from SPStoner.
