  1. Spawning Clam

I'll never forget the first time I watched the mass clam spawning event on the dvd of Wayne Shangs big tank. The music, the clams, the spawning, it was..... 8O LOL.
  2. my beautiful acro what the ****

hey Mark, I seldom post over there, I mostly check this good forum and a couple of others out. 8)
  3. my beautiful acro what the ****

SDR is where the coral just completely stops thriving and begins to go into decline. It may be a newly introduced frag or I have heard of well established colonies doing this although new frags are more apt to do this. They just begin to go downhill and nothing you can do will help them. I'm...
  4. my beautiful acro what the ****

I would frag the tips only and try to salvage something of it. It doesn't look promising just due to the condition of the tips. It doesn't look good. If this happened overnight I wouldn't really consider it RTN. I don't see any tissue flaking. It may be SDR, shutdown responce.

  9. Crocea Clam ailing

If the clam has been in your reef that long I kind of doubt the PM would start now. Kind of sounds too long for pyramid snails too. Lights need changing?? Is the clam sitting on your sand bed{if you have one}?? You might try sitting it in a clam halfshell or bury a flat piece of rock about...

Unarce, OMG, that clam is incredible. The 2nd pic from above, is just crazy. That clam is sick. 8O
  11. Tridacnid Time!!!

Crocea's are the most light demanding tridacnid out there. I would not suggest even trying to keep one under anything less than halides. The new book, Giant Clams in the Sea and the Aquarium by James Fatheree is awesome. I just got the book from Barry at Clamsdirect and it is a great read...
