I am currently running two 175 watt halides on my 75 reef from aquatic lighting. One with the 5500 hundred bulb and the other with Ushio 10,000. Never had a problem. Wiring is easy.

The sponge should not be exposed to any air. Unfortunately, sponges go through several hands before they are made available to the general public. One never knows how well they've been handled and signs of one deteriorating will not show up right away but can take several weeks.

I have found a couple of stores to carry mirrored background paper for tanks. I currently have this in my 175 mh for about 6 months. works great and is very cheap(only about $2.00)
