I have been running my 3 - 250 HQI's on my 220 now for 3 mos. and I started VERY slow...first only one bulb...about 4 hrs a day then added 30min after 3 days once I got to about 8-9hrs I slowly started introducing my second bulb....I am just now getting to my desired...
I have a 1/2hp CSL PowerCooler on my 220g....keeps my tank at 79-80 automatically....Love it....I do recommend you going with a 240volt chiller instead of a 110, as you will save money in the long run. My chiller is plumbed right into my closed loop which is an AM3000 feeding 2 - 1" SS's here...
