Looks like we have a winner.....briarium was the key....
But the info I found on that species indicated most of the usual popular star polyps.....but then I found that they are part of family of coral called encrusting gorgonians...a google image search of that nomenclature revealed photos that...

The stuff moves on its own...couldn't tell ya what family of coral it falls in. Most like a pink blob.... Thought it was permanently affix to a tonga branch until over a period of several weeks it very slowly left the branch and oozed over to a piece...

It's basically been with my tank from the start about a yr and a half ago......it's moved once to avoid an aptasia invasion....but can only best be described as hairy pink bubble...

What are ppl using to target feed corals. I know that many use a turkey baster but feeding my bottom dwelling corals necessitates my hand going in the water. Id rather keep my hands out of the water as much as possible.....I'm thinking a long long syringe ( like the ones u see genetic scientist...
Recently set up my RODI unit and it has been working fine......
When I ran it initially the tds showed 6 or 7 after the RO...after that the unit stabilized to 1 or 2 total tds before going to the RO....for the past couple of weeks it is at 0 tds after the RO.
Now I know that it is not...

started my 30 gallon micro-reef at the beginning of march.....and i just received my BRS RO/DI 5 stage.....i too began with tap water and i can tell u that i didnt have...
One of the ricordea I bought at the swap is splitting on me.....I'm not exactly sure how to deal with it....
It is falling off the face of one of my rocks.....has not had time to attach itself....Should I wait for it to separate completely.... Can i just glue it to a plug.... My first adventures...
check out bulk reef supply or Air water and ice....both make good Ro/Di's and both companies use the FilmTec membranes made by Dow.....BulkReefSupply has a nice basic 5 stage for 143$....cant beat that price brand new....
Mods should consider creating a sticky that covers Ro/Di...it seems to be...
It was very hard not to buy the typhoon Extreme...very nice package but a bit outta my price range....and i like as well the attached Di unit,built in tds and pressure gauge.....just couldnt justify the cost....what the BRS lacks in style it certainly makes up for in price....when not in use...
