I think turbo calcium would do a nice job in here, you could add as much to raise ca levels in 50 ppm without any danger I think. ANyway, performing a big water change would help a lot. Also keeping your DOC´s in check is a big thing to consider because they create acids, which consume ca. So...

What I have done with my media when becomes mushy is to rinse it in tap water, then add what is left, probably not much but it is better than throwing it all to the toilet IMO: Marco
