  1. Glasscages.com

I have purchased a 180 gallon aquarium from these guys. Got exactly what I wanted, good price, it is obvious they do it quick, but the tank is sturdy as can be, and heavily reinforced. I would deal with them again, but beware: You will have to clean up some silicone spots with a razor blade. For...
  2. Help me get rid of this red algea please

Chop it off, send it to me. It looks cool, and I try to collect different algaes. I don't think it is cotton candy algae, but you never know. Joey
  3. Post Your Tank Pic Please

Your clam is as big as my tank.... 8O Joey
  4. Post Your Tank Pic Please

I'm a little worried...Is it possible to die of envy induced by delbeek's tanks? Joey
  5. Post Your Tank Pic Please

Delbeek, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I always get the craziest looks when I clean the coralline from the glass, frown on powerheads, so on and so forth. I hate seeing that crap in the tank. A nice clean back glass, no crappy looking pumps everywhere covered in flaking white and purple coralline, just...
  6. If your fish could talk, what would they say?

"You need a bigger tank, dude..."
  7. B-Ionic 2 part calcium/buffer

I just realized that you have a softy tank. You will probably be able to get away with not much dosing at all. Joey
  8. B-Ionic 2 part calcium/buffer

First things first. Stop testing for calcium. Start testing for alk. Use this little guy- http://www.kademani.com/reefchem.htm to figure out your necessary dosage, then over the course of a few days, figure out how much you use on average and that's how much you dose per day. Simple. Once you...

  11. Weekly Discussion - Wild Caught Coral

Back in the day, first tank, I bought a sarcophyton and a plerogyra from lfs. My current tank has two RESCUED acro colonies, and a tubestraea that I received for a seriously reduced sale price from an lfs as well. I have been guilty of purchasing wild corals, it would seem, only when the colony...
  12. Anemone commited suicide, want to know if it will live.

I have heard of them coming back after such traumatic episodes as being cut in two, even my own has suffered serious injury and grew back to become the monster that it is now. I would just hope for the best, chances are you might get lucky if your tank conditions are right. Joey
  13. I'm back and nothing is dead!

I wish I could say the same. I went to the keys for a week and my tank almost had an electrical fire. Luckily I had a friend checking in who caught the problem. Still, I have almost lost one coral, a yellow acro, to slow tissue necrosis, and is barely holding on. I guess I could consider myself...
  14. I have a BTA, not much "B"

As well as everything else in an aquarium.... Bubbling of the tips of entacmacea quadricolor is no indicator of health, nor cause for alarm. Lack of bubbles is a common phenomenon when placing this anemone in a captive environment. Joey
