VHO HEAT
The lights will always generate heat. Just depends on what you want to keep. I have VHO's but halide's and sps are the next step. No heater maybe...

If tap water is so bad for a reef tank, how would it manifest itself in a freshwater tank?

high magnesium problem!- changes for ammonia problem :(
What's magnesium? Overtesting can be a downfall. Had no luck with hammer corals' until I stopped moving it around and let nature take it's course.
